Manage the security government framework

One of the major challenges for a strong IT Architecture development is based on a right security strategy and technology related, moving form the user security access to the user and application monitoring. • Password Management. The big problem that several customers have is regarding the user/password management when a user in any organization has multiple user/password combinations with different privileges for the different existing applications. The password management initiative consists in a unified user/password/privileges. Software Associates works together with main software vendors in this area, combining the expertise we have in this area in terms of methodology and project management with the best software technology to solve it.
• Single Sign On. Another important Project in terms of security for any organization is based on the fact that a user can have only one authentication process giving all the privileges to the person in the different applications automatically. This project combined with the password management project gives to the customer a complete single sign on implementation
• Web Services Security. One of the major weaknesses regarding web services is about security, several standards like SAML, XMLPKI, SMLDSig have been created to cover this functionality in an application to application environment based on a SOA architecture. The coverage that Software Associates offers regarding XML messaging is grouped in:
  • XML Gateway. Under this concept we proceed to implement a security system which filters the XML traffic on the net, being this option the highest of our wide range of products. Using an access control based on standards and with a high protection regarding attacks to XML, we have absolute control on who uses our XML based services, validating the content goodness.

This level of security very well known as “User Activity Tracking” is a new level of security based on the user activity, based on the concept that the security is not for preventing is for detecting. This new level of security is appearing based on the evolution in sniffing techniques and image processing, based on that we can define fraud detection rules based on the interfaces that the user is using.
