Legacy Modernization Assessment is oriented to obtain an initial understanding of the customer's IT environment and tentative scope of the Legacy System modernization at hand, and which is based on the customer's inventory planned to undergo modernization or face lifting. Usually our Legacy Modernization Assessment includes the Pilot Phase - performed on a sample of the customer's inventory, providing the customer with a sampling of measured and confirmed assurances that the proposed solution will best achieve the customer's objectives - from a technical, operational and business perspective.
Legacy Modernization Analysis and Design is performed on the entire IT inventory, and provides the customer with a detailed analysis of the target solution, including analyzed complexities, a detailed assessment of the required undertaking, project plans and required resources. Software Associates offers three types of Legacy Modernization assessments:
- Enterprise Roadmap: How will your enterprise evolve to meet current and future business objectives? We focus on opportunities to streamline business processes, increase market share, maximize productivity and increase innovation.
- Architecture Analysis & Design: What software architecture will enable your modernization efforts? We focus on leveraging existing systems, identifying hardware and software preferences, and understanding business requirements related to interoperability, flexibility, redundancy and security.
- Application Analysis & Design: What are the business requirements for a new or existing application, and how do they map to functional requirements? We focus on both, as well as UI requirements, quality metrics and standards.
