Interoperability amongst the different medical assistance and administrative centres and the Universal Clinical Document

One of the main objectives of the Healthcare sector for the next years will be to transform all the public and private centres into process oriented entities, whose productivity and efficiency model grows due to the citizen or customer’s claims. Therefore, becoming each centre a daily efficient mechanism and being the next big challenge to turn Health into an intercommunicated entity.

Therefore, the Healthcare sector needs are currently a double need. On the one hand, implementing different specific solutions of the sector, such as HIS, RIS, PACS and Blood Banks amongst others. On the other hand, the possibility of exchanging information and creating the so called Universal Clinical Document in the different healthcare organisms or healthcare and administrative departments. Software Associates has been working jointly for more than 5 years with the Health Care Sector, helping its customers to create and implement architectures, knowing and implementing specific solutions, such as HIS, RIS, Pharma Systems and Blood Banks, amongst others.

Moreover, Software Associates leads the new process oriented model, which will son be implemented in the healthcare sector. This model will enable visibility and automation, real continuous monitoring and improvement of the different processes that surrounds all kinds of healthcare, both public and private.

Finally, Software Associates is working jointly with the most relevant regulatory organisms within the healthcare sector, such as Ministries, Regional Ministries and International Organisms, developing mechanisms and standards, in order to achieve a correct Exchange of information and hence being able to create the Universal Clinical Document, document which will be in the future the next step to healthcare modernization.
